The goal of general dentistry is to help you maintain a healthy mouth, with special attention given to your teeth and gums. By providing minor preventative services, we can often address minor problems and prevent patients from pain and suffering from more intensive treatments. Many intensive dental treatments come about because patients ignore more minor problems. Our goal at Jody Jones DDS is to ensure your oral health is in an optimal state, which not only will give you a beautiful smile and endless confidence, but also will contribute to your overall health of your entire body.
General dentistry at our office covers preventative dentistry, cleanings and exams, teeth whitening, and fillings.
Preventative dentistry starts with brushing your teeth twice a day for at least two minutes each time to help remove any plaque and food particles that end up stuck to your gums and teeth. Most people don't brush their teeth twice daily, and even more don't brush their teeth for the full two minutes. It's critical to follow these two simple rules to ensure you reach all areas of your mouth adequately. In addition, you should brush your tongue with each cleaning. And lastly, we recommend flossing once per day to reach areas that even the best tooth brushes just can't reach.Request an appointment
Bi-annual cleanings and exams will help us get ahead of any potential issues developing in your mouth to ensure your overall oral health and prevent minor issues from becoming major ones. During these visits, we will examine your teeth, gums, and jaw bones to find potential issues before they manifest into larger problems. During this time, our dental team will discuss any concerns with you and point out any areas for improvement in your preventative dentistry plan.Request an appointment
Everyone wants a whiter smile. However the reality is that with harsh staining agents in drinks like coffee and red wine, and years of abuse, it often takes a professional whitening to bring your teeth back to their natural luster. Our in-office professional whitening will help lighten your teeth and bring your teeth back to their natural white beauty.Request an appointment
When a tooth decays or cracks, a composite filling is required to fill the void and ensure the problem doesn't become much more severe. A composite filling is a strong, synthetic, tooth-colored material that consists of glass and plastic and will blend into your smile without any of the negative health effects of old metal fillings. Get ahead of any cavities or cracks before they develop into more painful issues that require a root canal or more invasive procedure.Request an appointment
